| Aug. 3rd, 2008 12:17 pm The Dark Knight! I saw The Dark Knight last night and it is AWESOME!! Yep you have probably all seen it already but just wanted to say. I was most upset when the batmobile got blown up! I loved that "car"!
Also Christan Bale is a bit of eye candy, which is funny cause I've never really liked him or found him attractive (too many harsh jaw and cheek bones). I had this conversation with doggypanter last night and I have come to the conclusion that it is just because he is Batman that makes him swooney like! Batman is sexy no matter who plays him!!!! | Jun. 3rd, 2008 11:19 am Little comfort So I have just spent the morning at the doctors surgery. Unfortunately our poor little guy bit me last night completely unintentionally when we were trying to save him and being that I was so upset I didn't wash the bite wound as I always do when bitten by an animal. Come this morning my hand is all red and puffy with yucky stuff coming out of the wound. A round of antibiotics for me.
One of our vets had a look at him for us last night and it turns out that he had a very enlarged lymph node at the site where his intestine and stomach meet. Although not tested we are all sure it was cancerous considering the history and so we never would have been able to do anything for him anyway. I guess that its good that he didn't suffer any longer but man is it leaving a hole in our life. Current Mood: sad & tired

| Jun. 2nd, 2008 06:06 pm Goodbye Bertie Beetle Our cat Bert just died. He's been really sick the last week and has been in at work.
He ate greenies his favourite treat out of my hand and was all smoochy and then 5 minutes later he died. I'm grateful it was quick and I guess that I was there but I just feel so bad that we couldn't do anything for him.
There's no more Bert & Ernie. Now there's just Ernie and Thingy. How can you have Ernie without Bert? Just have to now I guess.
He was a great friend and I'll miss you heaps Bertie Beetle Current Mood: crushed

| May. 18th, 2008 05:06 pm Crappy TV So a few months back I said that my new favourite TV show was moonlight. Well since 9 wasn't showing it anymore I started watching it on the Internet. I have become more and more interested in the show and yup it was still my favourite. Now CBS has cancelled it and there won't be a second season!
I know that I was just about the only one out of everyone who knows me that liked it but very few tv shows "grab me" now days but moonlight did and now I am to be bored once more. I am so sick to death of reality shows and just want a drama that I could really get into is that too much to ask for??? Apparently it is so now I just will wander aimlessly for god knows how long until I can find something else which will be ages if the past is anything to go on.
crap crap crap! Current Mood: annoyed

| Feb. 6th, 2008 10:51 pm I should just stop watching TV I love the show Moonlight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This I think will become MY new TV show. The one I have to watch no matter what and requires being taped if I'm gonna miss an episode for some reason. I haven't been this excited and crazed about a TV show since ALIAS and come to think of it that's probably incorrect cause in the end I did miss episodes to wait for the DVD to come out (Stupid Channel 7 putting it on at 11pm at night).
Correction:
I haven't been this excited and passionate about a show since Buffy! I couldn't miss that show ever and refused to check the Internet for what was going on with it cause I liked to be surprised and shocked even when I didn't agree with what they always did.
Anyway I loooovvveeee this show and guess what??? STUPID CHANNEL 9 IS NOT SHOWING IT ANYMORE (insert extremely grumpy face here) Well at least that is what I understand cause its not on tonight and thats the word I hear. Hope I'm wrong and its back on next week cause I am not interested in watching anything else!
What pisses me off the most is that they have stopped it at Episode 8 and there are 12 episodes in the season. Why do the stations constantly stop shows before they have finished the season? Back years ago they never did that and I long for the time they show a series each week at the same time for the entire season.
I must have a thing for Vampires me thinks as there seems to be a pattern here. I love the take on vampires this show has gone for making it fresh and different. It could have been the same and boring and just another vampire show that had been done before but its not and I love it.
Also gotta love Alex O'Loughlin (main character Mick) now there is someone who could hypothetically stick his slippers under my bed anyday (obviously cause I'm married, sorry I love you honey!) He is Australian too!
I hope it stays on TV otherwise I shall be bitterly upset Current Mood: chipper / annoyed Current Music: Timbaland - Apologize (feat. One Republic)

You are The High PriestessScience, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education. The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods. What Tarot Card are You? | Aug. 31st, 2007 11:39 pm Superpower me!
Gandalf A wandering spirit caring for a multitude of just concerns, you are an instrumental power in many of the causes around you. And so am I, very dangerous: more dangerous than anything you will ever meet, unless you are brought alive before the seat of the Dark Lord.

| Jan. 30th, 2007 09:33 pm Insects I came home from work today to be greeted by ants crawling all over the kitchen and lounge room. Joy of joys!!! They got into the honey in the pantry and even in the fridge (however all were dead in the fridge) I managed to follow their trail from the kitchen down the hall and across the lounge room out the front door. With a "fun times about to end guys!" I sprayed them all with insect spray. Subsequently I spent an hour cleaning up the kitchen from the spray. Pain in the ass!!!! | May. 19th, 2006 11:51 pm Quick trip to Melbourne Tomorrow morning, we are off to Melbourne! We are going cause our major drug company at work are so nice that they are having a dinner at the aquarium (I think it will be so cool!) and told me a couple of months ago that they had reserved a place for me and my husband all expenses paid! I love the few perks I get with my job. The dinner is very fancy and I had to borrow a dress from M (My sister in law) cause I just don't get dressed up like that and I haven't been that dressy since our wedding. It is going to be so much fun and this will be my third year in a row of going to Melbourne but my first with my doggypanter. He hasn't been there since he was 5 and I've got a pretty good idea of how to get around now so............Melbourne here we come!!!!
PS: I know that it is just Melbourne and some of you may think I am making a big deal over it but any chance to have a weekend away with my husband at the moment is very rare indeed! Current Mood: happy

| May. 6th, 2006 06:13 pm Hockey is back!!!! We just got back from the first game of the hockey season and I am very pumped up about it and also quite a bit exhausted (hockey is a hard game!) So neither of our teams won but my team had a draw so I'm very happy. My other reason for being happy is that at the start of every season I'm not always that excited about playing cause the first game I generally suck at until I warm up into the season but today was different. I got put into the position that I played a little in towards the end of last year (Right Half) and was a bit worried as I told the coach "But I'll have to hit in that position!" For your information, I am an average hockey player and have had a notoriously bad time in the hitting department. I can stop a ball, I can tackle, I can push and slap but hitting the ball.............. I truly suck at it!
So my coach said "it's all in your head, just don't think about it" I have been given this advise before but it never worked. So out I went and every time we got a free and I had to hit the ball I said to myself "just don't think about it, just don't think about, just don't think about it" Guess what.......it seemed to work cause I could hit the ball!!!!!!! How ecstatic was I. Plus my tackling was good and I was even dodging around players with my skills and not even thinking what I was doing. I am so so pleased cause it is now all coming together. doggypanter is also happy, he rubbed his hands together and said with an evil grin on his face "Excellent....it is all working out perfectly. We shall produce super hockey playing children." I love my husband but he can be such a dork at times :) Current Mood: ecstatic Current Music: Damn I wish I was your lover - Sophie B Hawkins

| Apr. 19th, 2006 10:03 pm Alright. I'll do it. If you comment...
1. I'll respond with something random I like about you. 2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you. 3. I'll name something we should do together. 4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me). 5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you. 6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you. 7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you (or make up the first random question that pops to mind).
I really wasn't going to do this but I have to agree with a_mcf that if I make you do it for me then I have to do it for you dam it! Current Mood: indifferent Current Music: Dirty - Christina Aguilera

| Apr. 14th, 2006 12:17 pm Bye Bye Charlie I'm a bit sad today.
My mum had to have her horse Charlie put to sleep last night. He has been sick for a while now and was 28 years old. He was a great champion in his day and mum loved him. We knew that this was coming and most people probably would have had him put to sleep long ago but mum would nurse him through all his ailments back to health. She always vowed that she would not let him suffer though and sadly that time came last night. The thing that makes me so sad though I think is that she has had Charlie since I was 4 years old. I grew up with him and there are photos of a very tiny me patting a very big horse. Our life was horses. Every weekend we would go to shows and events and as I grew and changed from small ponies to big horses of my own, Charlie was there. There is not one of our horses that was not in a photo with Charlie at some point.
The other sad thing is that he was the last of our horses left and I know that is going to be very strange for mum not having a horse to look after. I only just realised that it was last Easter that I lost my horse Beau to colic and almost 12 months before that I lost my other horse Trixie to the same thing. This time of year is not very good to us!
It is just feels that a chapter of my childhood has been closed. Funny that. Current Mood: sad Current Music: Tomorrow - Avril Lavigne
